Essential: a 5–7 page HVAC website in 2–3 weeks

Essential is the smallest custom site we build: 5–7 pages, a 2–3 week launch window, $3,500 one-time and $149 a month for hosting and maintenance.

Essential is for HVAC owners who need a real website quickly and have a focused business: up to three core services, one main community, and a phone that should be ringing more. It is a custom 5–7 page site, launched in 2–3 weeks, for $3,500 one-time plus $149 a month for hosting and maintenance. Canadian clients add GST or HST by province (GST and QST in Quebec).

It is deliberately small. Small is fast, and small done properly beats large done in a hurry.

Who Essential suits, and who it doesn't

Essential suits a company whose whole offer fits on one napkin. If you can describe what you sell and where in two sentences, this package will usually carry it.

Good fits we see often:

  • A newly licensed gas fitter or refrigeration mechanic launching a company and needing a site before the business cards are printed.
  • A small furnace and AC shop with a Google Business Profile and reviews, but no website for that profile to point at.
  • A boiler or hydronic specialist who serves one city and wants to look like the specialist they are.
  • An owner whose old site has gone offline or can't be edited, and who needs something credible now while planning a bigger build later.

Poor fits: a company with six or more services, a commercial division, or several towns that each matter. That business needs separate pages to be found for each one, and the Professional package exists for exactly that.

A typical Essential page plan

There is no fixed template, but most Essential sites land on a structure like this one. Every page earns its place.

Page Job it does
Home Says who you are, what you fix and where, with tap-to-call at the top
Service page 1 Your highest-value service, for example furnace replacement
Service page 2 Your second service, for example heat pumps or AC
Service page 3 Repairs and maintenance, often the first call a new customer makes
About Your licence details, years in business, team and trucks
Contact Phone, text, email, hours and the communities you cover

That is six pages. The seventh, if you need it, is often a financing or rebates page, which must be dated and linked to the program administrator because programs change.

The 2–3 week build, step by step

The timeline is short because the scope is fixed and the inputs are agreed up front. Here's how the weeks usually fall.

  1. Start (days 1–3). We confirm the page plan, collect access and inputs, and agree your service area. Our owner prep guide lists everything we ask for.
  2. Draft (first week to mid second week). Page structure and copy drafts for your review. You check facts: services, towns, licence wording, hours.
  3. Build (second week). Design applied, photos placed, phone and text links tested on real phones.
  4. Launch (end of week two or during week three). Domain pointed, analytics and call tracking connected, Google Business Profile linked, and a final check against our launch checklist.

The variable is your review time. If drafts sit unread for a week, the launch moves by a week. We'd rather tell you that now than miss a date later.

How we measure whether it's working

A small site still needs numbers. From launch day we track three things, so that in a month you can see whether the site is pulling its weight:

  • Calls and texts from the site, counted separately from calls that come straight from your Google Business Profile.
  • Which pages people land on, to see whether your service pages are being found or everyone arrives at the home page.
  • Search terms showing your site, from Google Search Console, which tells you whether Google understands what you do and where.

If those numbers show demand for a service you didn't give its own page, that's the signal to add one or move up a package.

Mistakes that slow an Essential launch

Most delays on small builds come from the same short list, and all of them are avoidable.

  • Lost domain access. The domain was registered by a former web person and nobody has the login. Recovering it can take longer than building the site, so check this first.
  • No real photos. Stock images of smiling technicians fool nobody. Twenty phone photos of your trucks, your team and finished installs are worth more.
  • Changing the service list mid-build. Adding "and we do commercial rooftop units now" in week two changes the page plan.
  • Unclear licence wording. Your regulator decides what you must show and how. Check with them before launch; we'll place it where you tell us.

After Essential

When the site is live, you can run it yourself with the reporting set up at launch, or add an after-launch growth plan for local SEO and ads. To compare first-year costs across all three packages, see pricing, or get in touch with your service list and main town and we'll tell you honestly whether Essential fits.

Frequently asked questions

When does the 2–3 week clock start?

It starts once we have the inputs the build depends on: domain or registrar access, your logo if you have one, photos, your service list and your licence details. We send a short checklist at the start so nothing is waiting on a surprise request in week two.

Can an Essential site rank on Google?

It can rank for your core services in your main community, especially once your Google Business Profile points to it and reviews build up. What it can't do is cover many services and many towns, because there aren't enough pages to give each one its own answer.

What happens if I need an eighth page?

Tell us before the build starts if you can. A page or two beyond the package is a scope change we price in writing; a jump to 10 or more pages is usually a sign the Professional package fits better.

Is $3,500 the total?

It is the one-time build fee. Hosting and maintenance are $149 a month, and Canadian clients add GST/HST for their province to both. In the first year that comes to $5,288 before tax.
